Quotes and a story

The path is the destination and the destination is hidden in the path as the creator is hidden in the creation.

The highest is also the simplest.

The True Path

Just before Ninakawa passed away the Zen master Ikkyu visited him.
"Shall I lead you on?" Ikkyu asked.
Ninakawa replied: "I came here alone and I go alone. What help could you be to me?"
Ikkyu answered: "If you think you really come and go, that is your delusion. Let me show you the path on which there is no coming and going."
With his words, Ikkyu had revealed the path so clearly that Ninakawa smiled and passed away.

Passing thought...

Was speaking with Anto the other day. We were talking in general about how happy children were. They didn't have a reason to be happy. They simply were. It was the observation of my second niece. I could easily relate to how everyone has been in that phase of being happy for no reason to the deplorable state of restricting happiness to events...

Well, Anto made an excellent observation at this juncture: We have investments in our lives (and hence the associated fear, avarice, ... Let's call it baggage). Children don't have any.

True... experientially true!
