Singing debut...

Attempted at singing...Thanks to Anand prabhu for the software suggestions.

Song: Sendhaazham poovil...

Inspiration: One song that bowled me over the very first time I heard it...Peerless lyrics and an amazing composition.

Forgive me for the mistakes (I know many of them will be there)...

PLEASE give feedback and I would love to hear them (Critiques are highly welcome...that's how i can improve)

:-) Gud start. Word ucharipu sooperu. Goyaaism (remember the way Goyya talks?) laam illama padirka, grt. Kulirtae paadara maari iruku.. U might want to try Poi solla koodaathu or Udaya Udaya. I get reminded of the song that we sang together in the hostel (Thenmaerku Paruva kaatru). We shd do it again probably.

Dei Ramsu, nice one da. Though hampered by a slow connection, the voice and the lyrics took me away. Great stuff. Continue...

Hi Rams,

That's a very good try and start to hone your singing skills. Isn't it ironic that an ardent Rehman fan chooses Illayaraja's song for his first audition. I am happy that you spend sometime besides work in stuffs that make you feel someone else.

Thanks a lot folks...

@Anand: Thx da...U were one of the inspirations to record

@StrangerInTrance: I wonder who you are :-) I've seen a handful of comments from you...May be u shud reveal urself ;-)

@Meera, @Mathu: Vellai pookal
karoke-less version ready. But I want it a bit more better. Will put up soon.

@PSV, @Janani: Shivering in the voice was pointed out by u two...trying to figure out where it sounded that way...

@Anto: Thx machaan...if not for ur laptop ;-)

@Banti: thx da, we'll try out a duet ;-)

@Valli: Thx da...Rahman songs are hard to reproduce da...Ilayaraja's are easier...adhaan...as long as the song has less of instruments, the version u churn out will be closer to the original...adhaan...besides, we can't deny ilayaraja's master pieces right :-)

From Anand's blog. Very good effort. You have maintained a good shruthi all the way through, which is a good thing, but it sounds very flat to me. You may want to try singing this at a slower pace, so as to get the correct notes and then try the original tempo.
