It has been an extra ordinary year for Rahmaniacs. Such a variety and grandeur in every offering that came by us this year. A quick observation on each:
Jodhaa Akbar: Grand, magnificent, melodious, mellifluous, spiritual and fresh for a period movie.
Jaane Tu: Fresh, fun evoking, peppy, foot tapping, youthful, soulful, romantic and jazzy.
Ada: Different, stylish, soulful, melodious, vintage ARR.
Sakkarakatti: Stylish, Melodious, foot tapping, experimental, vintage.
Yuvvraaj: I can't get enough of this masterpiece. Operatic, western classical, soulful, melodious, mellifluous, orchestral, energetic, euphoric, levitating... Trademark ARR.
Ghajini: Rocking, hip-hopping, jazzy, mellifluous, blues, experimental... sure shot commercial music, like Sakkarakatti.
Slumdog: Trademark ARR! One movie to get him the world recognition that has been long due.
Connections: Haven't heard it yet...
Here's wishing him all the very best for the Oscars and Golden Globe and wishing him an even more successfull 2009 and hoping for a even bigger treat to the ears in the coming year.
