"Vellai Pookal" in English

Thanks to my friend's translation attempts...He once attempted to translate the "Vellai Pookal" song which I had mentioned in my previous post. This is the translated version of the song...though not the best of translations, it does give the meaning of the song. Of course, the rhyme scheme will be missing as we are no great poets...:-)

Let white flowers(peace) bloom all over the world,
Let the world wake up for the peace of it,

Let the sun's yellow rays fall on this soil,
Let the flowers lose their laziness and bloom.

Let the child open its eyes in its mother's warmth
Let the world wake up with a baby's first smile(innocence)

In the breeze's melody,In the music created by raindrops,
Is there anything that can give utmost joy other than silence?
Would a crore melodies and words penned by poets be as meaningful as a drop of a tear shed?

Let the beautiful moon rise in the place where the child points its fingers
Let the white bird sing in the place where there is no war...
